Dr. Smith is a Tampa native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University. While at USF, she had the privilege of pole vaulting on the Track and Field team. She worked five years locally in water and wastewater engineering, where she developed strong problem-solving skills, then went back to school for physical therapy. Since graduating in 2021, she has practiced in a variety of settings, including outpatient orthopedics, chronic pain, sports rehab, and inpatient rehab. She aims to compassionately help patients of all ages and fitness levels discover why they have difficulty moving and how to move better. Utilizing the McKenzie Method® and her engineering skills, she creates individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals. In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys the beach, dancing, CrossFit, running, reading, golfing, pickle ball, volleyball, hiking, and most of all spending time with Jesus and His church.
Providing one-on-one orthopedic physical therapy for patients from youth to seniors looking to recover from:
Treating all joints head to toe, but not the pelvic floor. Whether your goal is to get back to walking or competing in sports, we can help get you there. Not in pain, but want to optimize your health and decrease your risk of injury? We offer wellness services, too!
Our approach to outpatient orthopedic physical therapy utilizes the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT). This method, practiced globally, is distinct from traditional physical therapy. The McKenzie Method® offers a logical, step-by-step process that helps identify the root cause of your pain and creates a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Furthermore, patients receive education on managing their issues independently, which minimizes their reliance on therapists or costly equipment, aligning with our commitment to holistic services.
To glorify God by providing reliable, effective, and compassionate physical therapy that helps our neighbors overcome orthopedic pain and functional limitations, so they are free to move and live fully.
We are a self-pay clinic that is out-of-network with all insurance companies. If you have commercial insurance out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill that you can submit for reimbursement according to your plan.
Initial testing and treatment to assess your pain problem and begin a plan of care. Typically takes 45-60 minutes.
During your initial evaluation, your therapist will discuss the number and duration of follow-up appointments to determine what works best for you.
Identify movement limitations before they become painful problems. Through a detailed assessment of your mobility, strength, and other body mechanics, we'll create a personalized plan to help you move well, stay active, and reduce your risk of injury. This typically takes 50 minutes.
Not sure if PT is right for you? Want to learn more about the McKenzie Method® or our wellness services? Call or email your question, and the therapist will reply as soon as available.
